What a pleasure to find old school custom service from a pool and spa company. Richard responded quickly to phone msgs and is incredible at keeping up with you so you don’t need to wonder what’s up. He arrived, took a look at my spa, fixed it in a minute and then said, “No charge.” when I asked him the price. In this day and age, that is stellar!! If you’re looking for professionalism, competence and a great customer service experience, I recommend him unequivocally.

Richard has been taking care of our pool for about a year now. He has done an excellent job and I highly recommend him and his company. When we bought our house, our pool was a green neglected swamp, full of mosquito larvae and huge palm fronds. The pool filter was not also not working.

Richard was one of a few people we got quotes from and was by far the most affordable. A few other people just refused to touch the pool, or immediately said that we needed to drain it and start over, quoting us several thousand dollars. Richard actually seemed to relish the challenge of tackling our pool. He tested the water, determined that he could save it, quoted us a price and followed through with cleaning it up.

We were really amazed by how hard he worked, coming three or four days a week to adjust chemicals and replace parts on the filter. He saved us cash by figuring out which parts could be kept rather than selling us a whole new unit. For example, he figured out that we only needed “half a new motor.” I’m still not sure what that means but it works and saved us a couple hundred bucks.

He has recently expanded his company, taking on a few assistants and broadening his area. Though he isn’t doing our pool personally anymore, the quality of service has not decreased at all and he is still readily available if we need him. We are keeping his company for our pool services for the long term.

Blew my expectations out of the water. In my case I had the problem of fixing up an old spa which I was not even sure would work. It was filthy and needed many cracks in the tub patched. This company provided me a level of service that blew me away. They didn’t shy away from a very difficult job … staying with me through the process of patching the tub, troubleshooting and fixing the motor, and getting the water crystal clear and ready for use.

This company is lovely. Run by people who know “what’s up”. It’s actually super easy to screw up pool chemistry! Not an incredibly difficult field, but you really do need to know what you’re doing. THEY DO.

I knew i was over paying for low quality with my last few guys. My neighbor recommended Richard at Aqua Masters about 10 months ago and I’ve used them ever since.

Richard has been nothing but honest with me, from what I can tell, about what’s wrong or going well with my system. From the get go he told me that the guys before were doing it wrong and that my pool required a lot of attention and why (poorly put together, in a nutshell).

Anyway.. The only time i ever felt like his services were not on par, I told him and the problem was immediately fixed. He comes more than is expected, to stay on top of things, free of charge most of the time, and is super easy going if you forget to pay him on time.

I don’t have anything bad to say about Aqua Masters! About a year ago they took my pool which literally looked like a swamp and revamped it for a very fair price. Every week since then our pool has been clean and ready for swimming. I have two German shepherds who like to make a lot of mess in the pool but it poses no problems for these guys!

My pool man comes every Monday and makes the pool ready to swim for the week! The best part about them is the fact that if I ever have any questions about anything they answer quickly and clearly and nicely 🙂

My pool pump died just as the weather got really hot and I wanted to start swimming. Rich had his team come over within a couple of days to put in a new one. Then they discovered that my previous pump had been installed incorrectly. The whole team is smart and do not compromise. Rich ended up coming over himself to make sure that everything was rewired correctly. Later, he even came by at no extra charge when I called to say that my pool sweep was not working after I had disconnected it. So take the good with the bad and decide for yourself. I would and I do recommend Aqua masters highly. I would suggest if you have concerns with them, have that discussion. Richie has AlwAys listened to any frustrations we might have andhad done his best to make corrections. We are very pleased with Aqua Masters.

You already know when you’re talking to a trusted source. Your gut won’t be telling you anything else but to hand your pool off to them. My pool filter was 25 years old and barely worked. So I decided to install a new one. Finding someone to install it was another story. Some guy gave me a quote based on 400,000 BTU without even asking the size of the pool or the size of the gas line going to the heater.

Another guy quoted a different price also without seeing the pool, etc. Both of these were listed on Yelp with many 5 star reviews!

So I did a Google search for pool heater replacement and Aqua Masters came up. First I noticed their Contractor’s License Number, then their LA Health Permit.
After I checked out the permit and found it was in good standing and they had worker’s comp, then I called them.

I spoke to Richard. He answered all of my questions and when I asked about getting a quote he asked if I could send him texts with photos of my heater which I did. Then he asked me to see if the old one has its BTU anyplace. It did on the inside panel.

Based on the photos and Richard being able to see my gas line to the old heater, he sent me a quote for a new Jandy heater.

He was ready to install it the next day. Richard cane by with the new Jandy heater and his installer removed the old one and installed the new one in about 2 1/2 hours and did a great job cleaning up everything. This installer is amazing with over 29 years experience.

So I can highly recommend Richard and Aqua Masters to anyone. Take a look at my photos too!

I just had Aqua Masters come clean off 16 years worth calcium deposits on my pool tile. I asked for estimate from a bunch of service providers in the area. They were the first to get back to me and offered the best price. They were able to schedule the cleaning around my schedule. They let me know the day before what time they would be at my house. They showed up five minutes early, were very professional and finished the job a lot faster than I thought it would take. The owner even came out the next day to a QA visit to make sure they did a great job.

Rich installed a heater for me last week. There was a manufacturer defect on the hardware which caused an issue. Rich contacted the manufacturer and was out the next day replacing the part and making sure everything was ok. He also checked our chemical levels to make sure everything was ok and cleaned our pool filter to make sure there weren’t issues there. His employee, Carlos, that did the installation and cleaning, was exceptional.

As I’ve always said, yelp never fails me. I was in need of a heater to be installed ASAP for my kids swim lessons starting. The response time of this business was amazing. I requested a quote at about 4pm on a Monday. I got the quote emailed to me about an hour later and a scheduled installation at 9am the following morning!!

Our heater was not working along with other pool issues. My pool service team was no help. I’ve reached out to a few places on Yelp. Richard was the first to respond. He was very thorough, based on the pictures i’ve sent him he was able to estimate what parts i might need and had the tech buy all of them and bring them to my house, so they could fix everything as quickly as possible. I mean… who does that? if there are other companies that do this, i’ve never dealt with them.

I have to say i was little concerned about their pricing system, i found it a little confusing, but when the Dimitros ( i hope i spell his name correctly) came… i couldn’t be happier. Not only he figured out and then fixed the problem within previously estimated 1 hour, but was also able to look into other issues. I mean, he’s truly an awesome human being. He really knows he’s craft and would never do anything just to take your money. I mean, i’ve used him only once, but that’s the impression i got.

Richard and his team are truly amazing and worth every penny. Don’t try to save some money with other guys, because in the end… you’ll end up paying more. Highly recommend them!!!

Heater was broken. First American Home Warranty (which is terrible, btw; save your money and don’t buy it) sent over Provolt Services, who was terrible and charged me $75 and did NOTHING but convince First AM not to honor the warranty.

I found Aqua Masters here on Yelp. Richard was great. He was responsive, he scheduled me quickly and his very capable tech showed up and within 30 mins diagnosed that my blower had malfunctioned (totally covered by my warranty who is still refusing to pay for it).

They ordered the part and the tech came back and fixed the heater in less than an hour.

Had a recent scare where something became trapped in our pool line. As a result the filter was jammed and couldn’t clean nor could our heater warm the pool. I must have called ten places last minute to have this fixed, as I was celebrating my birthday the very next day and the pool wasn’t ready! AquaMasters were the only ones to get it done. I contacted Aqua Masters in a bit of a panic. My house was for sale and my existing pool service company just up and quit. I had an open house in two days and I needed the pool to look gorgeous. I contacted them on Thursday evening and left all my details. I asked them to please try and service the pool the following morning before the brokers open house and once again for Sunday’s open house. I told them I would need their services until the house sold. They sent me everything I needed via email and they completely took over and made sure everything looked amazing and worked properly. Richard is professional and attentive. He came out the same day I contacted them and had some one here to make the repair within 24 hours. The service tech was professional and cleaned up after himself so that it looked better after he left than when he got there! There was a mistake on the invoice that was caught by Richard and he immediately made a price adjustment to reflect said mistake. I would recommend them to anyone with pool needs
